When we got home it was more problems. The neighbors' yard had been flooded due to rain, ice rain, snow and then warm weather. We keep an eye on the house for the owners as it is a summer home for them. I have never seen this before and we have been here over 30 years. Thank Goodness it did not get to the house. But a major effort was under way to make sure the house did not get flooded. The area where the flood occurred was an ice rink when we arrived. At least 6 to 8 inches of ice. The the irrigation canel began to flood. Flooding a couple of the other neighbors. all of the neighbors pitched in and put sand bags around a couple of homes to protect them and then used sandbags to create a river for the water to follow. Sandbagging in the middle of winter in Cache Valley is not heard of.
Feburary and March was snowy and cold. Glad the winter is over.
April and May the months I get the yard ready for the spring, summer and fall. I love this time of year. It is so good to be outside, in the sunshine, even if it is bit cold.
