This morning it is 11 degrees. I know it is worse in other places. I really feel for those people. But we are now off to warmer places. Quartzite is our destination. I don't think we will miss the snow and cold. This is how it looked when we left.
We will go as far as St. George today. There we can water up and visit family. Wow 2 pm and we final hit 48 degrees. Now the frozen snow should start coming off the top of the motor home. It is fun to hear that snow leave us but scary as the ice chucks could hit someone.

Well we have or first motor home problem.....the fridge won't turn on. Checked everything I could think of and still no power. Well my DH tries to turn on the light by the fridge and it to won't come on. Oh no... First thing to fix when we get to St. George.
Good thing the fridge was really cold before I loaded it and it has lots of frozen water bottles in it. It will just have to wait until morning. DH fills the tanks with water and breaks the kitchen faucet. He doesn't know his own strength. Oh well guess I get a new one. It has been a long day of traveling and with all the little problems that have popped up we decide it just time to visit the family and relax.

Well after searching and rethinking the problem it is decided that it must be a fuse....But where is that fuse at. DH knows where all off the fuse boxes and circuit breaks area at (or at least thinks he has found them all) but no problem with any of them. So off to Camping World and see if they can help us. When we get there they tell us they are booked and cannot help us. After explaining that the fridge won't work and it has a lot of food in they tell us that they might be able to send out a tech in between jobs to look at. So we are sitting on the side of the road waiting for the tech. Now my DH is smart. He tries to call Fleetwood to talk to a service tech. The line is busy. Next call to General RV in Draper, Utah. That is where my great brother-in-law works. We will have him ask their mechanics for help. And sure enough they come through. Thanks Brother. They tell us is there is another fuse box and where it is located......YEAH the fuse that is casing the problem is found. Buy a new fuse and a couple of other things we needed and we are on our way.
We decide to head to Laughlin and stay the night there. We have driven by Laughlin before but never stayed. Checked the fridge and again it had quit working. Checked the fuse again and sure enough the fuse was not good. Put in a new fuse and all is good again. About 2 hours later the fridge again quit. Yes it was the fuse again. Now this is a serious problem. What is causing this? I am sure we will figure it out. Until then I guess we will need to get more fuses.
Get to Laughlin, get parked and settled in. Not too long after we get there a mobile RV repair guy drives by. So a quick run to get him to stop and see if he can help us. Troy with Troy RV Repair is the gentleman who tried to help us but no luck. Nice guy but just a small job handyman. He did however help my DH get the wires on the TV hooked up. They can off on the last trip due to a very, and I mean very bumpy road. So at least that is done. Time to just kick back and relax with a good movie.

It is a very pretty day. Took our time getting ready to leave today. DH was out checking things on the motor home and trailer and noticed we had a chuck of tread missing on one of the tires on the trailer. Great, a new problem. Now we need to find a tire store. Get everything road worthy and we are off. We find a tire shop in Bullhead City. Glad it was just a few miles down the road. Superior Tire was great. They had us in and out within 30 minutes.
Back on the road again. We are going to go to Lake Havasu for a couple of days. Want to get some riding in. That new Razor needs to get some miles on it. Staying at Havasu Falls RV park. Nice place.
Coming into Lake Havasu
Well it has to be a great day. DH found the problem with the fridge. You see we were losing power to everything on the driver side slide. In the bedroom closet there is a light. It turned out that a metal plate on the light had come loose and was hitting the negative leads to the light causing an electrical short. Yeah problem found and fixed.
Out neighbor told me if we stopped in Lake Havasu, we needed to go to Scotty's for dinner. She stated they have the best chicken. So we decided to give it a try. Oh my gosh, she is right. I would recommend it to everyone. Not only is the chicken good, but so are the ribs and cole slaw.
Now it is time to really relax and enjoy this adventure.
