Today was clean the motor home day. Been out for 10 days, and the motor home has not been really cleaned since winter storage. And being in the desert for the past 6 days, I just could not take it any more. Yes the bathrooms and kitchen have been cleaned a lot before this, but it was a major cleaning, of all of the outsides of the cabinets and walls. I really do not like dust and dirt in my motor home. And it was the perfect day to clean. DH went to post office to get his package and it gave me plenty of time to clean. Now I feel so much better. And yes the package arrived. Thank God. General Delivery works.
Went to the Rice Ranch to find vice scripts so that I can turn the water on and off easier at the kitchen sink. I think I had stated that on our first night out in St. George, DH broke the handle on the kitchen sink facet. The little RV repair guy in Laughlin put a screw in so that I could turn on the water but it is hard to adjust the amount of water I got, so I am using too much water to wash dishes. So until we can get to a bigger town my DH had the idea of vice scripts. Hoping this would me to control the amount of water that I use. But no luck in finding the right size today. Maybe tomorrow.
More people are starting to arrive.

Been a great day over all. Clean motor home and starting to relax. Maybe tomorrow I will work on making some earrings.

Well it is time to dump and refill the water tanks and the propane. Now today is the first day of the big RV show here in Quartzsite and we have been told it is NOT the day to go.....BIG CROWDS.....So DH decides it is a good day to dump, refill the water and propane. He leaves around 10 this morning, thinking everyone would be at the RV Show......yes and no......the road to Rose's (which is an RV park, where you can dump, fill-up and get propane) is heavy with traffic both ways.
When DH went to leave our levelers (jacks) would not come up.... After a few tricks he was able to get them up and went on his way. Told me he was going to stop at an RV shop, that it is close to Rose's to see if they could help us out with the jacks.

When he left, this nice older (older than 80) gentle man (Charles) stopped by and started to talk to me. Nice guy. While we where talking he shuts off his jeep and we continued to talk until my DH returned. Charles has lots of stories about ghost towns, the sea bees and several car clubs he was in. And auto cross awards he had won, (and I like to autocross). So I listen, being told by him how he has been out here by himself and is waiting for his friends to show up.
Now this guys is parked where we want to park and seeing DH is back, he goes to start his jeep and NOTHING. It is dead. DH has to park a few feet in front of him. Oh well it the spot will work.
So Charles calls AAA and 3 1/2 hours later they get here. Now this gentleman is nice enough and is camped about 500 yards away from us. We offer to take him to his camp until AAA gets here, but no, he says he will not leave his jeep here. So I heard a lot more stories, new ones and same of the ones he had already told me.
Well, needless to say, I did not get anything done today. Oh well. I just hope when I am old and need someone to talk they will listen.

After dinner Dh and I were sitting outside and all of the sudden there is a bright orange light in the sky. We do not what it is and it is moving. No, it is not a plane. We watched it for a couple of minutes and then it was just gone. Glad my DH was with me to see this. Otherwise he would have told me I was crazy.......Aliens???... Wish I had gotten my camera for this.

We decided to go the RV show, at least go see how the crowded was. Not many people there. It was fun to walk through the tents and see everything. Lots of booths with cleaning supplies for the motor home and how to cook and led lights and you name it and it was probable there.
We did not stay to long as the Bronco's are playing and we cannot miss the game. Just happy they won.
Great sunset tonight.

We have decided we need to go back to the RV show. We need to see if our old car hitch can be serviced and if it will work on our trail blazer. The Blue Ox people were funny. They could not believe we had a hitch that old. So a new one is ordered and should be at the house when we get home.

On the way back we needed to stop the store and get a few things. Now I am use to one stop shopping. Here you go to the grocery store for food and the Family Dollars store for things like laundry soap, contact solution, etc. As we are pulling into the store I see a razor that looks familiar...and low and behold it is Rick and Dawn. A couple we ride with a lot. I cannot believe they are here. FUN. Now we ran into them on our last trip Moab. Just like this time, out of the blue there they are.
So we grab some and wine and head back to the Motor home. It was great sitting around and talking with them. We would have gone riding but it was late afternoon. Depending on their work schedule we will go ride with them tomorrow.
It is so much fun to run into good friends when you have no idea they are in the same place as you.

Work calls so Rick and Dawn had to leave. SAD...it would have been great to out and ride with them. They have been here before and more of the trail system than we do. Oh well next time.
We headed into town were all of the flee markets are.
Just some of the things you will see at Scaddan
Not looking for anything just people watching. I love to window shop and watch people and this is the place for both.

The rest of the afternoon was kick back and relax. Time to start a new book.
We decided to take a late afternoon ride to La Posa South campground to see if we could people we know. No luck. But there are some interesting campsites here.
The clouds are so unique here. These are around sunset.

Today is wash day....Now I have not been in a laundry mat for years, like 30 plus. This is going to be an experience. DH and I get the dirty laundry (in a large laundry bag) and head to the laundry mat. We are in the Razor so not much room. Large blue laundry bag is now my airbag.
We get there and it is crowded. I guess everyone needs clean clothes. I do find three washers right away and get the clothes washing. Everyone that was there before us is now starting to use the dryers. I just hope I don't have to wait for one.
Yes I have to wait. DH finds two and I found the third one. Now lets hope they work....Well two loads completely dried and the third ( which is all of our shirts) is not wet but more than damp. Now my DH is not one who likes to wait. Especially at the laundry mat. So I need to iron the shirts anyway so damp is ok. Next back at the motor home and get the ironing done. Well Wednesday was wash day. Thanks to my DH, who was so helpful in getting this done. I know he could have found better things to do.

Love the georgeous sunset pictures.
