Moab -rain, rain, and winds from .... Oct 10, 2013

It rained and rained and rained with winds from hell all night. We didn't sleep much last night.  Got up this morning to rain.....Riding today might not happen.

Opened the blinds and I could not believe what I was seeing.....The slick rocks looked like it had snowed....but wait they are just wet! Yes they have changed colors. When they are dry they are a reddish color and wet.....well look

 

 

 

 But as the sun started to come out (yes the sun) and as the slick rock started to dry we saw even more amazing colors and designs in the rocks.

 DH comment how some of them looked like a ice cream sunday.

Yes the rain stopped but it was wet and cold!  Had to go pay to stay a second night. So bundled up and off we went to the pay station. On our way back Russ and Jodee too had decided to venture out and we were off, last minute decision, to do Hell's Revenge. Only problem......I didn't have my camera. It was a fun ride, even though it was a bit chilly.  I will add a few pictures from  our trip in May of Hell's Revenge.

It was a good ride even if was cold.
