Wednesday morning. It is sunny and warm. What a great day for a ride. We have decided to take Russ and Jodee on Fins and Things. They have not been on this trail before and it can be a bit challenging but it will be fun.
Fins and Things is rated a 4 out of 10 on difficulty so thought it would be a great place to start.
First big slick rock ....
Just some of the scenery you will find on the Fins and Things trail
Now our friends have only had this machine for about 6 months (I think) and Russ is surprised at what it will do
This hill is steeper than it looks. There are three areas in which you can come down. It takes them a minute to decide which one and this is the easiest one. The other two are more straight up and down.
This trail has great scenery. This is our fourth or fifth time on it and I still love it.
This is the first time we have been here in the fall. We usually come down here in May with the Rally on the Rocks event (www.rallyontherocks.com). A must do for all those who like to ride. During this event you can pick the trails you want to do and then you are taken out with a guide (now these guides donate their time and know the area). This is a great way to learn the trails. All the assistance you would need on the trail is already there for you.
These are some pictures from out trip in May of this year
Just some of the spring flowers we found along the way. Spring in Moab is so unique with all the different flowers.
It has been a great day for riding.
I cooked ribs, potatoes and Jodee brought a salad for dinner. Sat around and talked about the days events. Now tomorrow we will do Hell's Revenege.
