home...

Ok, it is October 1, and we are heading home. Been watching the weather and we really need to get the sprinkler system tuned off. I still need to get the garden cleaned up and all the flower beds done.

I still have not done the pay online thing yet and my to do list for traveling continues to GROW.

I never really thought about all the things you must do in order to leave for a month or more. I will give you the list a little later.

Well we get home late on Oct. 1, so just take out what must come out of the motor home and the rest will wait until tomorrow.

Tomorrow comes and I do get the dirty clothes out of the motor home and start washing...Not feeling so well today.

The weather is cold right now and I don't want to work in the yard. So it is wash and iron today. Tomorrow I must get the garden and flower beds done.

Oct. 3.....Still not feeling great, but must get the yard cleaned up for winter.  I hate this time of year because it makes me realize that winter is just around the corner. I hate being cold. The first snow fall is always pretty, but usually our first snow fall will last until the end of March or into April.

Oh well just get it done.

Oct. 4... We got most of the yard cleaned up yesterday so we  will get it finished today. And the sprinklers are ready for the winter.  Can only work in the afternoons as the mornings are just too cold.

Got a phone call from some friends we have not seen in a while. They have been furloughed. They have been working at Mesa Verde this summer. They are headed to Moab, Utah and want us to join them........They will be there Oct. 8 for about a week and half.

Moab is a great place to ride and they have taken trails we have not  and they wanted to do the trails we have done......Off we go again.

Now I have three days to take care of things. First  the cat.  Yes I have a cat and I wish he would travel with us but......not to sure about it. I just cannot keep taking him back and forth to my daughter's so now my grand kids have a second cat. But that was the deal when I took him. You see he was a 4-6 week old kitten that was abandoned at her house with a broken tail. He was sick from the tail and I am a softy.  I took him.  But I told her if I took the cat she would have to take him back when we started to travel.

                                                         Spike...the spoiled cat

Next pack up the motor home, stop the mail and newspaper. Finish the yard. Help DH get the razor ready and we will be off.  Oh and take Spike to his new home.
